“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). As we seek God’s leading for the future, we can thank Him for blessing us in the past year, providing the needs of the fellowship. The building is well used and we are exploring ways of developing better relationships with the community We are exploring how to meet the health needs of the community by setting up a cookery club, and have been given a grant to help with this. The idea is that the group learns how to cook a meal and then sits down and eat the meal together, developing friendships between the church volunteers and those in the local community. The change from a Girls Brigade meeting to a non-uniform meeting for young girls ‘Bright Sparks’ took place mid-2010 and continues to encourage attendees toward and along the Christian life - numbers have increased and a waiting list has been used as necessary. We are exploring plans to start a luncheon club following after, but separate from, the existing Age UK/Church Friendship group meeting. As we praise the Lord for His faithfulness throughout 2010, we lift before Him our future plans that He might use them to advance His Kingdom in and around Tile Hill North. “I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus” (1 Corinthians 1:4). |
