Bright Sparks Girls' Group

All girls fom age 5 to 11 are welcome to join this group who meet on Thursday evenings at 6.30 pm.

We are no longer Girls Brigade and from September 2010 we have been running as Bright Sparks.  It has been an interesting time.  We have 21 girls on the books and a regular group of 12/13 who come every week.

The programme for Thursday evenings is games when the girls come in, devotions and then an activity.  Each term we try to run a theme.  To begin with we talked about talents and the talents God gave us.  We have covered 'our senses' and 'love'  was another theme.  What we aim to do is try to link the activity and the devotion together so the girls go away with a reminder of what we have done.  The activities have ranged from card making, cooking, sock puppets, woolly men and Christmas decoration - all sorts of things.
